From Aunt Trisha: What can I say about my brother Gerard - gentle, sensitive, creative & the best scrambled egg maker in Scotland so he said. I remember the day he came home from St Francis Maternity Home, he was a beautiful baby. He was raised in a loving family where our parents Pat & Katy supported their children to achieve academically. Gerard loved collecting things, dinky model motor cars. Dad made him a Western Fort for his cowboy & Indian collection. A Knight’s castle with a round table throne room and a huge collection of knights. I think you could say he was a collector just like you Alex. As he matured he was a traveller and on his travels he met his beautiful wife Ealey who was a great addition to our family & the love of his life. After they married they went to Australia for a couple of years on return Gerard & Ealey went to Dundee where Gerard studied for his degree and where they started their own family & Jane was born there. After Graduation they moved to London where Gerard gained his PhD. The family moved to South Wales where they have lived ever since. Jane met Paul at Uni in Manchester and they married in September 2003. Gerard & Ealey became Grandparents for the first time in November 2007 when Alex was born then Darcey came along in May 2010, the apples of their eyes. The family brothers, sister, brother in law & sisters in law will support the Welsh family from here on in.
