We are sad we could not be with you all to say goodbye to Gerry.He was a very good friend . We used to go to the swimming pool everyday after school with Alec Flanagan (Flash). Gerry was a keen swimmer. I remember him visiting us in Mallorca many years ago.It was a glorious early  spring day when we drove round the coast to some of the beautiful small bays. Gerry was insistent on going for a swim and dived in of the small pier.He still brings a smile to my face as I remember him making a quicker exit. The water was freezing.The photo is from St Gerard`s school in Govan .I am sure some of you can pick out Gerry and maybe a few more faces. You might notice there were still a some people with short trousers on. You will be missed
